ITSNJ Annual Awards
The awards recognize notable New Jersey projects, firms, programs, and individuals who have contributed substantially to the advancement of ITS technologies to improve surface transportation efficiency, safety, and mobility. The evaluation criterion is:
- Notable accomplishment
- Excellence of achievement
- Innovation and application of emerging ITS technologies
Awards are presented each year at the ITSNJ Annual Meeting. All nominations must be received no later than August 20th each year. Please direct any questions about the Awards Program to the Awards Committee.
ITSNJ Awards
An individual who has contributed significantly to advancing ITS in New Jersey throughout his/her/their careers. This prestigious award is selected by the Executive Committee. 2020 Award Winner: James R. Hogan, PE
An elected or appointed official who has contributed significantly to advancing ITS in New Jersey. 2020 Award Winner: Padmanabha (Pete) Amin
ITSNJ Professional
An individual who has advanced ITS significantly in New Jersey. 2020 ITS Professional Award: Kevin P. Hayes, PE
An individual, 35 years of age or younger, who has advanced ITS in New Jersey. 2020 ITSNJ Young Professional Award: Farukh Ijaz, PE
A project or program employing or advancing ITS technologies; including infrastructure, plans, research, management, or other significant innovation. The project must have been substantially completed or published within the past five (5) years. 2020 Outstanding Project Award: "Data Analytics Ecosystem" - Port Authority of NY and NJ 2020 Project Honorable Mention: "Agency-wide Transportation Management Software Acquisition and Implementation" - PANYNJ in partnership with Kapsch North America
